Under Iranian law, all schools are gender segregated, meaning that boys and girls are separated into different schools starting from the first grade. However, kindergartens are excluded from this law.
Roham and several other children are in the same kindergarten. When Roham begins expressing curiosity about intimate male-female relationships, the kindergarten's principal hires a Muslim cleric to guide the children according to the Iranian school's religious and ethical standards.
One day, Roham meets Rana, an introverted girl in his class. Soon, he discovers a dark secret in Rana's life involving her stepfather. But there are other children in this kindergarten and each of them has a story. This story is about the life of kindergarteners in modern Iranian society.
